為增加學生對生態安全的認識，培養學生對保育自然環境的責任感和關愛精神，公民與社會發展科於2025年1月24日舉行「蟲」新探索祖國生態體驗式活動。承辦機構安排導師給學生講解昆蟲知識和生態環境保護，讓學生了解生物多樣性和生態安全的重要性，活動期間會展示國家二級保護動物標本，講解國家安全部和國家林業和草原局在生態安全方面的政策和措施，讓學生了解國家針對生態安全問題所採取的措施和中國保育成就。通過半小時校外尋找昆蟲活動，加強學生對香港本地生態的連繫感，明白維護國家生態安全的重要性，提升保護環境意識及正面價值觀。

這次本地導賞團，讓我們重溫過去歷史，重新走入香港故事⋯⋯ 越過崎嶇不平的石梯，穿過復古的巷弄，便到達「香港醫學博物館」。博物館的外牆由紅磚砌成，屋頂則用中式簷瓦覆蓋，盡顯愛德華式建築的氣派。館內的展品同樣中西合璧。除了展出西醫如何參與香港醫療發展外，亦設有中醫館。而一樓則展出解剖老鼠的場景，不但提醒我們此地在對抗鼠疫中發揮的重要作用，更是要我們毋忘那場肆虐香港最嚴重的災禍。 另一個與鼠疫有關的地方便是「卜公花園」。為杜絕鼠疫蔓延，政府決定清拆太平山一帶的樓房，改建成現今的「卜公花園」。公園內那個記述鼠疫發生的紀念牌，更時刻提醒我們，香港過去的點點滴滴——看似平平無奇的一個小花園，卻盛載著無數歷史價值。 此外，我們更走訪不同地方，如文武廟、荷理活公園、水坑口街等，讓我們認識更多香港的舊時面貌，實在是一次難得的經驗。希望我們都能銘記歷史的血汗淚，把這香港故事傳承給一代又一代。 最後，透過了解十九世紀香港發生的鼠疫，令我明白到醫療衛生不但關係到我們的安全和福祉，更與國家安全息息相關。因此，只有保持完善的醫療制度及安全的公共衛生，才能確保人民的健康，保障國家安全。
