In a Catholic school, it is vital to maintain an atmosphere of faith, especially as the world has been going through chaos brought on by environmental and societal catastrophes. The mission of the Catholic Society is to journey together with our fellow schoolmates by sharing the messages of God and spreading His joy and compassion. To achieve this, the Society aims to offer opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Catholicism and its doctrines by participating in various school activities and social services. As written in Matthew 20:28, “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life of ransom for many.”
The chief objective of the Catholic Society is to foster a religious climate by providing and implementing a wide range of activities that encourage students to practise their faith in life. As the school motto, ‘Pray and Work’ (Ora et Labora) has a strong link to our daily tasks, it ensures that our work with youngsters will continue to bear fruit, and that the sparks in our spirit of being the salt and light of the world will never fade.
