We at STC base our recommendations for scholarships on a range of factors, such as academic achievement, leadership, STC involvement, service to peers and the public, and participation on athletic teams.
There are different types of scholarships to recognise your achievements as well as support you in achieving your goals. This section provides a general overview of each scholarship category. The scholarships are mostly Merit-Based scholarships

TYPES OF AWARDS Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded at the end of the academic year for academic achievement. They are based on grades and achievements. They can also include non-academic factors such as leadership, STC involvement, and other criteria.
Academic Awards
Academic awards are given out at the end of the academic year and are based on academic achievement.
Non-academic or Service Awards
Non-academic or service awards recognise achievement or participation in athletics, leadership, STC or community involvement and other rewarding and cultural pursuits. Do note that this is the only category that students who are on Conditional Promotion, required to repeat, have dropped electives, and/or have absences during examinations, are entitled to be nominated.
Bursaries
Granted to students who do academically well and are in need financially.
