Different teachers and students shared stories related to solidarity and unity. Today, I would like to talk about how solidarity can be achieved. In management theory, we have a principle called “Unity of Direction”.
Unity of Direction states that all the team members should share the same objective in order to work toward the common goals of the organization.
Every person may have his/her own thought and interest. These interests may not fully compatible with the goal of the organization. The unity of direction assumes that in case of a clash, every team member will choose the organization objectives as the most important.
With the help of this principle, every member is well aware of their role. All activities that happen in the organization are more synchronized than ever. Hence solidarity can be achieved.
Students, do you know what is the vision of our school? It is printed on the first page of your student handbook. If you have your handbook with you, now please take it out and have a look.
Our school vision is:
“We hope all our graduates, in addition to achieving value-added academic performance, will develop a well-balanced character and value systems compatible with Catholicism.”
The succeed of our school depends on every member in it. The principal, teachers, students and parents. Therefore, students, we need your coordination and contributions. Please share this vision with us.
