Permeance: Impossible is for the unwilling

Good morning! We are the Volunteer Team. The theme of this month is “Simplicity & Sharing.”
At the heart of everyone is a shared beauty. It is a simple action for us to reach out and help others, without complex motives or expectations. We set aside our differences and focus on the most basic human interaction—— the needy met with a willing heart. This simplicity is our greatest strength, allowing us to connect directly and meaningfully with those we serve. That’s just like our team motto: “Impossible is for the unwilling.”
“Simplicity” in volunteering refers to removing distractions to focus on what genuinely matters: the act of service and its positive impact. We contribute our time, energy, skills, and kindness not because we have a lot, but because we understand that we are all connected and that our well-being depends on one another. A shared burden becomes lighter, and a shared moment of kindness fosters a powerful connection.
Sometimes, a small action can change society and warm people’s hearts. When you give a helping hand to the elderly, open a door, or simply wait for someone who walks slowly, you make a meaningful difference. Similarly, when you see a teacher carrying numerous items, offering to help also makes a positive impact in school.
In December, we celebrate International Volunteer Day this Friday. This global event serves as a reminder that the simple acts we do here are part of a vast, worldwide movement of solidarity and care. It is a day to recognize every volunteer and be inspired by the incredible impact we can collectively achieve through simple, shared efforts. We, at Permeance, would like to invite all Shungtakians to join our team and engage in more volunteer service together, showing our love and sharing joy with others.
