今天是Spring Break後的第一個上學日，相信大家都有充足的休息和準備，現在已是精神奕奕地期待著課堂的開始。 在假期前夕，學校特別在通告上建議各位同學，好好善用這個悠長假期增值自己。就算因為疫情而未能外出遊歷，長留家中也可以透過閱讀和欣賞電影來增廣見聞。不知道大家是否有樂在其中，豐富了自己的知識和心靈呢？ 作為電影迷的我可說是過足了「戲癮」，還不忘觀看一年一度的奧斯卡金像獎頒獎禮呢！今年的頒獎禮簡直是令人「驚歎」，頒獎環節竟比金像獎的賽果更出人意料！ 事情源於頒獎嘉賓Chris Rock在台上宣讀「最佳紀錄片」的入圍名單時，以荷里活明星Will Smith的妻子潔達(Jada Pinkett)的光頭髮型開了個玩笑。Chris Rock還未來得及公布得獎電影誰屬，怒火中燒的Will Smith即為了捍衛妻子的自尊，上台揍了Chris一拳。這個奧斯卡的插曲旋即引起熱議：有人認為Chris Rock只是貫徹他一向的棟篤笑作風，Will Smith為此而出手傷人未免欠缺風度；亦有人認為Chris Rock的玩笑過了火，而Will Smith只是護妻心切，其行為情有可原。 我在這裡重提這一件事，不是要就誰對誰錯作一審判，我相信沒有人能斷定事件中的任何一方是絕對無過的；而是想與各位分享我從事件中就「尊重」這個人生課題所作的反思。 一個層次愈高的人，往往愈懂得尊重別人。因為他富有同理心，懂得易地而處，為人設想，同時，他亦具智慧和自信，不需要通過貶損他人來彰顯自己的能力。棟篤笑我看過不少，明嘲暗諷的該是時弊、是荒謬，不是別人的切膚之痛，Jada的光頭是疾病所致，Chris Rock真的需要在千百萬觀眾眼前揭她的傷疤嗎？難道作為專業笑匠的他就想不到一個比這更出色的笑話？在我看來，他是貪一時之樂而捨棄了自己的惻隱之心，沒有為他人設想。而另一方面，在人受到冒犯的時候，為了捍衛自己或所愛的人的尊嚴，容易受情緒影響而衝動回應，釀成更大的悲劇。但是，人有理智，能夠約束自己的言行，理應自重。人生經驗豐富如Will Smith定必有足夠的智慧去想出千百種解決問題的更佳方法，實在不值得把自己變成自己厭惡的人去「以眼還眼」。 人我本無別，眾生皆平等。尊重別人，是不把自己的快樂建築在別人的痛苦之上，是一個人的胸襟量度和品德修養，更是智慧和自信的表現。希望各位同學能練就出強大的內心，時刻展示出尊重的美德。 Ms. Kwok P. 甚麼是公平對待呢？是否將手上所有蘋果平均分配比每一個人就叫做公平對待呢？ 曾經有人用以下例子去解釋。有三個高度不一的小朋友，想觀看球賽，可惜他們面前有一個圍欄，阻礙視線。那麼，我們是否每個人送一個箱子，讓他們踏上去，便做公平地對待呢？對於個子較高的小朋友，眼前的圍欄根本影響不到他，箱子對他來說，是無需要；對於最矮的那個，加多一個箱子，他也不夠高去看球賽。因此，箱子對他而言，亦是沒有作用。所以所謂公平對待，並不是純粹將資源平均分配，而是按對方需要給予恰當的幫助。 最近我在【公教報】看到一篇由慈幼會梁偉才神父所寫的文章。當中亦提及到公平對待。文章指出，耶穌基督就最能做到公平對待了。他能按照每人的身份及情況給予適當的對待及尊重。耶穌從不拒絕病人，無論是瞎子、聾子、啞巴、癱子、以至被視為大罪人的癩病人，他都願意一一接待他們，有時與他們交談，有時用手接觸他們的患處，既治好他們的病痛，更治愈他們心靈的創傷，也給他們重拾社會的地位，使他們返回社會過正常的生活。 耶穌也會關心饑餓的人，與自己的宗徒一起去為他們安排食物，讓各人不至因饑餓而暈倒在荒野裡（參若六1—13）。耶穌不怕其他人的譏諷，主動要求到被大眾視為罪人的稅吏匝凱的家中投宿。結果，匝凱良心發現，承諾會糾正以往的貪錢行為，更願意為窮人捐出他財產的一半（參路十九1—10）。 由此可見，耶穌基督是全方位以不同的方式去對待每一個人，而且是按照他們的需要，給予他們應有的尊重及權利去接待他們。 各位同學，我們可以效法耶穌的做法，公平地對待周邊每一個人，了解每一個人的需要。久而久之，我們便能夠實踐正義，建設一個公義的社會了。 社會上運用體力勞動工人，例如清潔工人、建築工人，在今天的香港社會，尚未獲得尊重。他們的權利經常被剝削，又得不到勞工法例的合理保障。因此我們的社會仍未算公義。 Ms. Chan K.
