今日是4月25日，在教會上今天是聖馬爾谷慶日(St. Mark)。 相信同學都知道四部福音是什麼了，而其中的一部就是馬爾谷福音，而聖馬爾谷正正是這福音的作者。 馬爾谷又名若望，生於耶路撒冷的富有家庭（宗12:12-13）受過良好教育，對於希臘文亦有相當造詣。他與巴爾納伯是表兄弟(哥4：10)。當保祿與巴爾納伯初次出外傳教時，他曾參與其中(宗13：4-13)，及後他又與伯多祿同赴羅馬(哥4：10；費24)，並充當伯多祿和保祿的助手(伯前5：13；弟後4：11)。據記載，伯多祿很喜愛馬爾谷，稱他為自己的「兒子」(伯前5：13)。而歷代相傳，他是伯多祿的「翻譯員」和「隨員」，及後當了埃及亞歷山大里亞城的首任主教。 而馬爾谷就是第二部福音的作者，他依照伯多祿的教理講授，編寫了這部福音。從福音1：1可知，他成書的目的是要證明基督的天主性，並將此訊息帶給外邦人，特別是因伯多祿宣講而歸化的羅馬人，為此，他很少引用《舊約》的預言，而多具體描述基督所行的奇蹟異能，以證明基督具有超自然和制勝惡魔的能力。 馬爾谷福音是四部福音中最簡短的，它只記述了耶穌公開生活的事蹟，由耶穌受洗開始(1：1-13)，按次記述了耶穌在加里肋亞(1：14-9：50)、猶太和耶路撒冷的傳教生活(10-13章)；最後以耶穌的苦難聖死與復活升天作全書的總結(14-16章)。 總括來說，馬爾谷用了生動有力的文筆記述了耶穌的事蹟，尤其是細微的地方，描寫得非常仔細，足見他是根據目睹其事的人，即伯多祿的口述記錄而成，因此，馬爾谷福音又可稱為《伯多祿福音》。 希望透過今日的分享，同學們會對聖史馬爾谷有更深入的認識。 Ms Lam WY25 April 2023
