Our parents also love us patiently and kindly

God’s love towards us has always been patient and kind ever since the beginning of the world. According to Genesis Chapter 1 Verse 26-27 God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

From this Bible verse, we can see that God created us in the image of himself, rather than saying out ‘Let there be humans’ as in the situation of the creation of Light. This has shown that God’s love towards us is different. God has sincerely treated us as his true children. He kindly accepted each of us as his children even if we are different and have different abilities and faults. This kind of parental love could be shown in other parables in the bible. For example, the love of Mother Mary and Saint Joseph towards Jesus Christ is also kind.

Let’s recall our memory of the Gospel of Luke Chapter 2: ‘He went down with them then and came to Nazareth and lived under their authority. His mother stored up all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and with people.’ This is the time when Jesus Christ stayed behind in Jerusalem in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions at the age of 12. Mother Mary and Saint Joseph could not understand why Jesus did not go home with them but rather stayed in the temple asking teachers questions. However, they still treated Jesus kindly with their love and provided Jesus with everything he needed and raised him to adulthood.

In our daily life, our parents also love us patiently and kindly. Taking care of us, they’ve shown their full patience and kindness. Our parents tend to provide us with everything we need and show us love and kindness whenever we are with them. Other than our parents, our family members also live with us and will give us all the support they can. They are always there for us and will be with us during all the ups and downs. Therefore, we should truly treasure each and every one of our family members.

Shungtakians, let us all remember that our family members have kindly accepted us, taken care of us and loved us so much. Therefore, in return, we should definitely show our kind love to them.
