When making a scented candle, essential oil is a must to be added as it brings out all the smell of the candle during burning. However, have you ever wondered what is the suitable amount that should be added?
Indeed, only a few drops of oil is needed for one candle. Once, a boy added so much scent into the candle. He added several different types of essential oil during candle making and his friends thus had not enough oil to add into theirs. To his surprise, he found that he couldn’t smell anything when the candle was lighted. The logic behind is that too much oil will cover the smell. The more he added, the scent was less obvious to be smelt. In contrast, his friends’ candles smelt so pleasant.
Apart from essential oil, decorations on the candles are also another important factor to make a beautiful candle. Similar to adding oil, putting too many decorations on top of the wax will not make the candle better. A candle with fancy decorations is not really a safe one. Not only putting too much oil in the candle, the boy also tried to place almost all the decorative items on his wax. When he lighted the candle, there were sparkles and everything was burnt.
However, the candles of his friends burnt safely with no danger or harm as they put only a few decorations on the wax. More is not necessary. Things should be in right or optimum amount.
Base on all, things that look gorgeous may be not be as good as you think. Shungtakians, live with everything in a suitable amount. Try to tidy up your own room and give up all the unwanted stuff.
