If every one of you tries to think one thing that you want to say thank you to God, what is the first thing come to your mind? I would like to share the lyrics of a song with you:
God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower strewn pathways all our lives thro’;
God hath not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain
God hath not promised we shall not know
Toil and temptation, trouble and woe;
He hath not told us we shall not bear

Swift, easy travel, needing no guide;

Never a river, turgid and deep.
But God hath promised strength for the day,

Today is the first day of final examination for S1 and S2 students. For S3 to S5 students, your examination started for several days. God has not promised that you do not have examination. He has not promised that you must get full marks without good preparation. But God has promised to grant us the wisdom we need to make the best use of our talents. He has promised to grant us the strength we need to face different obstacles. To most of us, it is not easy to say thank you for having examination. But it is a time for you to test and reflect on what you learnt this year.
