Book Sharing: The Legend of the Condor Heroes

Good morning, everyone!
We are the Library Club, and this month, our theme is:
“Be Kind to All of God’s Creation.”
Today, we want to share a story that shows this message well — the famous book The Legend of the Condor Heroes.
Let’s look at the journey of Guo Jing, the main character, and how he learns to be kind to everyone and everything around him.
In the beginning, Guo Jing is filled with anger and a strong desire for revenge against those who have wronged him. He feels alone in a world that seems unfair. However, as he travels and meets new friends, he begins to understand the importance of compassion. One of the most impactful moments comes when he encounters his enemy, Ouyang Feng, who is in great danger. Instead of fighting him or seeking revenge, Guo Jing makes a brave choice: he saves Ouyang Feng’s life. This act of kindness surprises everyone, including himself. It teaches us that real strength lies not in revenge, but in mercy and understanding.
As the story unfolds, Guo Jing faces a critical turning point. When his homeland is threatened by invaders, he feels the heavy weight of responsibility on his shoulders. He knows he must protect the city of Xiangyang and its people, even if it means risking his own life. With courage and determination, he rallies his friends and fellow warriors, showing them that caring for others is the highest form of love. His selfless actions inspire everyone around him, proving that when we stand together and support one another, we can overcome even the toughest challenges.
Though we may not all be heroes like Guo Jing, we can still make a big difference in our everyday lives. We can be kind to our families, show respect to our teachers and classmates, and help those in need through volunteering or simply lending a hand.
Being kind to everyone isn’t always easy, especially when we feel tired, upset, or misunderstood. But if we strive to treat others with compassion, patience, and respect, we can create a better world — one small act at a time.
Let’s all commit to being kind to all of God’s creation.
