Many teachers and students have shared some meaningful stories about the importance of taking responsibility. Today, I would like to talk about being responsible in daily life. Here are some ways you can demonstrate responsibility in your daily activities.
First of all, do you submit your homework on time? You have to manage your time effectively by setting priorities and making schedules. Please avoid procrastination.
Second, do you have any late records? Attend appointments and meetings punctually are important too. Because being punctual shows your respect for other’s time and demonstrates your reliability.
Third, do you bring textbooks, exercise books, stationeries and other necessary items for class on every school day? Being a well-organized person is also a way to show responsibility. For example, you can tidy up your living and study environment to make them systematic, organized and clean.
Next, we should be responsible for our environment. Will you turn off all the electric appliances when you are the last person to leave the classroom? We should be mindful on the negative impacts we create to our environment. Small acts like saving energy and water, making use of the recycling box in your classroom and putting the food waste in the designated bin can bring big changes to our environment. Let’s be an environmentally friendly Shungtakian!
Finally, we should respect others. We must treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect. We should speak and behave politely at school. We should active listen to others. We should show our respect to other’s different opinion. Let’s be open-minded to different perspectives.
Responsible is an ongoing practice that requires consistent effort and self-discipline to yourself, environment and people around you. By embodying these principles in your daily life, you can cultivate a sense of personal accountability and contribute to a more positive and harmonious environment.
