Good morning, we are the representatives of 5M. The theme of this month is Love is not rude. Let us tell you more about the meaning of the theme first. The Bible says,“Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. ”. It tells us that love is not just being kind to others, but also treating them without rudeness. We shall not be angry at people easily and make them feel down or depressed, but to keep them delighted and happy all the time.
Let us give you some daily life examples first.
Have you ever hurt someone accidentally, with the words you said or the things you did unintentionally? Even though we may not notice it, sometimes our words can be offensive to others. Maybe you are just telling a joke to your friends, talking to your parents, but the things you say might be rude and therefore could hurt them. For example, when your parents ask where you have been, you may just reply to them indifferently or even be angry at them.
Think about it, have you ever said things like that which hurt someone you love? Or have you ever heard some mean words that came from someone you love? That definitely does not feel good, right? Likewise, they will also feel bad when we say something hurtful. We may even hurt our loved ones more easily as we think that they are willing to tolerate our bad attitudes. So, what can we do to prevent hurting others with our words?
In order to not be rude to our friends and family, we should always be careful of what we say, how we act and think twice before saying something. When we are talking to them, we should always put ourselves in their shoes, and think about how they would feel after hearing what you said. If you think that they will be glad to hear what you have to say, then it’s fine, but if you don’t, you should always think again whether the things you will say are rude or inappropriate and maybe it’s better to not say them.
