A Prefect or the Prefect Team?

According to the dictionary, solidarity means agreement between and support for the members of a group. Can you spot the difference between a prefect and the prefect team? The answer is solidarity. Without the boundary, we are just individuals in the school. Unity is the key for a group of people to reach their goal. If the members are divided, it will be a different story.

“Teamwork makes the dream work”. It is true that solidarity increases productivity. Instead of working separately, working together leads to a better reward. In the Bible the lord says, “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” This also applies to the prefect team, we are unified and we overcome the challenges together. We learn from each other and serve with the spirit: “To serve but not to be served”.

Moreover, unity leads to sustainability. We all know that a divided community won’t last long and not be able to do what it is supposed to. A strong bond between members can bring a different effect. In the long term, they no longer distrust one another but help them if they are in need. Like what Mr Ho mentioned last week, the bonding between Shungtakians is unbreakable, making us proud of our school. We believe that we will keep up the good work in the future and maintain the solidarity, making the school an enjoyable learning environment and dare to dream big.
