A Little Bird

What is the meaning of kindness? Kindness is characterized by compassion and tenderness. A kind person is positioned to help others and to do so with sympathy and consideration. Godly love will make a person kinder. No one can be loving and unkind at the same time. Real kindness isn’t a calculating effort to get what we want. Instead, it’s giving something without the hope of a reward. God loves us and blesses us repeatedly, though there’s nothing we could ever give back to Him. He doesn’t need anything, but He still shows kindness, even to those who refuse to love Him back. For us, our kindness comes through when we give up what rightfully belongs to us because our love for someone exceeds what we think is “fair.” We put aside our claims and expectations because we’re more interested in what’s good for someone else—even if they don’t deserve it.

Also, I want to share a heartwarming story with you about “Love Is Kind”. It’s about a Little Bird who hopes to buy his grandmother a heart-shaped box of chocolates for her birthday. On his journey for the chocolates, he’s frustrated at every turn-losing his money, finding money that doesn’t belong to him. He needs to solve many problems before arriving the chocolate shop. But, when he arrives at the shop, it’s closed. Little Bird has nothing to give his grandmother for her birthday. When he returns home, he tells everything to grandmother, thinking he has disappointed her. However, his grandmother says, “My little boy, you are so generous, and your goodhearted behavior is the best gift for me.” The Little Bird realizes real love isn’t found in a box, even one filled with chocolates. It ends up discovering the real meaning of love, love is patient, love is kind and love never fails. Being a parent and a teacher, the best gift for me is not the valuable gift, it’s the improvement you make and I love to find out your kindness.
