Ms Lam WY 3 October 2023

“Respect” is a two-way street

The theme of this month is “Respect for others”. I want to start my sharing with two questions. How often do you show respect to others? How often do you feel respected by others? “Respect” is a two-way street. We can’t be rude to others but expect respect in return. Everyone wants to be respected.

The story of Zacchaeus

I shall continue sharing on our theme for the month of September: ‘Showing Respect for Others’. St Peter, who is one of the patron saints of our school and also one of the most important figures for us Catholics, summarizes the Bible’s teaching on respect in his first Epistle with one sentence: “Show proper respect

Be respectful In the digital age

The theme of this month is respect for others. Respect is often associated with polite and courteous actions, treating others with compassion, empathy, and fairness. In this digital age, where anyone can become an anonymous keyboard warrior, it seems like the cornerstone of respect in society is being lost. Is the internet the sole culprit

The Meaning of Respect

The Meaning of Respect

Good morning, We are Red House. Today, we want to talk about the meaning of respect. We often hear this word and believe we understand it, but do we truly practice respect, or are we simply pretending? It’s important to examine our actions and make sure we genuinely show respect to those around us, including

His mother stood by the cross

His mother stood by the cross

The martyrdom of the Virgin is set forth both in the prophecy of Simeon and in the actual story of our Lord’s passion. The holy old man said of the infant Jesus: He has been established as a sign which will be contradicted. He went on to say to Mary: And your own heart will
