On 20 March 2026, a group of students studying Ethics and Religious Studies visited the HaDavar Biblical Museum. During the visit, we experienced something different from our usual classroom learning. With the tour guide’s explanations, we had the valuable opportunity to see historical artifacts from the time of Jesus up close. Experiencing these artifacts directly made the history much clearer and more meaningful than what we usually learn from textbooks.
We did not simply comment on the exhibits; we were able to see authentic, high-quality replicas up close. This deepened our appreciation of what we were learning. The model of ancient Jerusalem was especially striking: as we recognised key sites from the life of Jesus, the images from our textbooks appeared one by one before us, making us feel that Jesus truly existed. For instance, the model depicts the estate of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before his trial.
In conclusion, our visit to the HaDavar Biblical Museum transformed abstract classroom knowledge into a vivid historical experience. Seeing real artifacts and meticulously crafted replicas firsthand deepened our understanding of the life of Jesus and brought textbook images to life. We sincerely thank the museum staff and guides for their knowledgeable explanations and attentive service. This unforgettable educational journey will continue to inspire and motivate our studies in Ethics and Religious Studies.
