Sweet Success: STC Carnival 2026 Brings Smiles and Stress Relief

With the pressure of the interim examinations finally lifting, the Covered Playground was transformed into a vibrant hub of joy and laughter on 27 January 2026. This year’s STC Carnival, organised by the Guidance Team, provided the perfect ‘recharge station’ for Shungtakians to unwind and celebrate their hard work.

A Feast for the Senses
The playground was filled with the irresistible aroma of treats. Students queued up eagerly for sugar-coated fruit skewers, enjoying the perfect crunch of sweetness, and cooled down with refreshing cups of bubble milk tea.
However, the undisputed star of the event was the Pick-and-Mix Candy stall. As the most popular attraction of the day, it saw a constant stream of students customising their own colourful bags of treats—a sweet reward for their recent academic efforts.

Thrills and Grand Prizes
The excitement reached a fever pitch at the Lucky Draw station. Throughout the afternoon, cheers erupted as winners were announced. Seeing fellow Shungtakians walk away with giant plush toys, their new cuddly companions, added an extra layer of magic to the atmosphere.

More Than Just Fun

Beyond the food and games, the primary goal of the STC Carnival was to support student wellbeing. After weeks of intensive revision, the event served as a vital space for students to:
Decompress: Release exam-related stress in a relaxed environment.
Reconnect: Enjoy quality time with classmates and teachers outside the classroom.
Recharge: Foster a positive school spirit and a healthy ‘work–play’ balance.

The smiles on our students’ faces were a testament to the importance of taking a breath and enjoying the moment. We hope this day of fun has left everyone feeling refreshed and ready for the new semester ahead.
