Picnic Day: Growing Together as a Class

5J Gabrielle Wong

The arrival of autumn signifies not only a shift in weather but also a season of renewal and reflection. As the leaves change colour and fall, we students are also undergoing our own transformations—growing in our friendships and class spirit. Held on 31 October, Picnic Day was a time for relaxation and a vital opportunity for students to connect, collaborate, and cultivate strong relationships. Through various games and shared experiences, we learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and mutual support, thereby building a caring environment that fosters lasting friendships. As the saying goes, “If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Tasks can be completed individually, but growth, as a long-term journey, would be far too dull if undertaken alone. Within our class, we are fortunate to have peers who support us and help us overcome obstacles along this endless path.
