OLE Talk: “Addicted to Drugs”

On 5th September 2025, the Guidance Team hosted an important OLE talk titled “Addicted to Drugs” (吸癮) for all S4 students, in collaboration with the Community Drug Advisory Council. The session aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of emerging drugs and to equip students with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. The talk began with interactive activities to engage the students, followed by a clear explanation of drug addiction. The speaker covered topics such as the chemical composition of drugs, their effects on the body, and long-term consequences like unconsciousness, hormonal imbalances, and brain damage—especially among young users. Additionally, the speaker addressed common misconceptions, including the belief that some drugs are harmless or non-addictive. Through real-life examples, students learned practical strategies to resist peer pressure and confidently say no to drugs.
