On 8 November, our school hall transformed into a lively hub of intellectual energy as students from various primary schools gathered for the Mathematics Competition. Upon arrival, participants were warmly welcomed by student helpers, who guided them efficiently to their designated seats and ensured the event ran with seamless organisation. As soon as the timer began, the entire hall shifted into an atmosphere of deep concentration. Each student tackled the paper with remarkable focus, with their determination evident in the quiet intensity that filled the room. Despite the silence, the sense of enthusiasm for mathematics was almost tangible. It was an inspiring reminder of how curiosity and challenge can bring young minds together. In reflection, the event not only showcased the participants’ numerical aptitude, but also highlighted the value of perseverance and intellectual confidence. Watching students engage so wholeheartedly with problem-solving reaffirmed the competition’s purpose: to nurture a genuine passion for learning and to celebrate the joy that mathematics can spark in every learner.
