Hong Kong Interschool Mediation Tournament 2025

Our team participated in the Hong Kong Interschool Mediation Tournament 2025 on 15th and 16th March. We are proud to say that we brought home two awards—Best Summarizing Prize and Best Teamwork Prize.

I started with little background in the skill of mediation, and to reach a competitive level wasn’t plain sailing. We not only had to learn mediation principles and process models in a limited time, but we also had to learn how to apply all of them for the competition on the next day. It was indeed a challenge.

The case was given to us the night before the real match, so the preparation was intense. Thankfully, with my teammates, things became smoother.

The competition itself was tough, with each side intent on taking home the prize, displaying all the skills learned. We remained resilient as a team, and we worked well together to face the rebuttals and were able to summarize well.

Special thanks to my teammates—Cheryl Lam, Caroline Cheung, and Jasmine So—and of course heartfelt gratitude to our tutors. Their unwavering support and camaraderie have taught me the essence of teamwork, and that’s what makes us able to overcome the challenges and transcend our limits. There are no limits once you are willing to try!
