On 5 November, all Form One students from our school attended HK Phil’s School Concert at Tuen Mun Town Hall, featuring the Jockey Club Tutti Programme 2025/2026 School Special. It was an incredible experience for the students. The theme of the concert was ‘Video Games’, and all the songs were drawn from classic video games such as Sonic, Mario, and Zelda. Rather than diving into the specifics of the songs, I’d like to highlight the educational significance of the concert. Between each performance, the conductor, Kevin, provided insightful explanations about various musical instruments, including percussion. His creative use of language and engaging interactions with the audience enriched the experience, making it lively and enjoyable for everyone present. Overall, the concert was a wonderful experience, as the selected music resonated well with our age group. It is unfortunate that opportunities like this are rare.
