Monday, 27 October 2025The English Department is proud to celebrate the achievements of our talented students in the Time to Talk Public Speaking Competition 2024-25, held in the previous school year. This inspiring event, organized by the Regional NET Coordinating Team, encourages students of all ability levels to develop a passion for public speaking. The competition is a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, enhance communication skills, and speak with purpose in front of an audience. In the 2024-25 competition, students worked in teams of 2 to 4 to deliver engaging, informative speeches enriched with creative use of information technology.
Two Rounds of Competition • Round 1: Students submitted videos where they shared the personal meaning of a song and how it has impacted their lives. • Round 2: From these submissions, six outstanding students were selected to represent our school in the inter-school finals.
Congratulations to Our Awardees, 4J Cheryl Lam and Yoyo Leung, 6L Yuki Ho, Maylin Lau, Cliff Cheung, and Janice O. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our principal Ms. Lai for presenting the certificates at our prize-giving ceremony. We are incredibly proud of our students’ hard work, creativity, and courage. We look forward to seeing their continued growth as confident communicators and wish them every success in their future endeavours.
