“The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see.” — Mary Davis

Good morning. Today, we, the Prefect Team, will be sharing with you. The theme of this month is “Be Aware of Blessings, Find Contentment and Joy in All Things.” What comes to your mind when you hear the word “blessings”? Maybe big things like family, friends, health, or good grades. But we want to share some smaller blessings with you, which are hiding in our daily routine as prefects that we often overlook.

True contentment and joy don’t just come from counting our own blessings. They come from sharing them when we see others weighed down by daily struggles. It is very easy to stay focused on our own busy schedules, but if we look around our school hallways, we can easily spot hidden burdens—a teacher carrying heavy piles of books or students struggling with problems. We don’t wait for a formal invitation or a direct request to help. True servant leadership means taking the initiative simply because it is the right thing to do. By stepping forward to lend a hand without being asked, we can build a caring community at school.

The most beautiful part of helping others is that every small action counts. You don’t have to do something special or grand. Simply performing our duties and assisting in school events are already blessings in our daily lives, waiting for us to notice. When we realize that helping others brings us true contentment, we become aware of the joy hidden in these everyday moments. True contentment begins in simple acts of kindness and compassion. When we join hands to serve others, we become a team. Gradually, we discover that serving others isn’t just about what we give; it’s about what we receive in return—joy, connection, and a heart full of gratitude. In that gratitude, we find the beauty of being aware of blessings all around us.

Some of you may wonder, “Why do we even need to assist others? Does it really matter, or is it even necessary?” At first glance, helping can appear burdensome. Yet, it creates a broader impact for all of us. At school, helping others by maintaining classroom discipline cultivates a safe and harmonious environment for everyone to learn.

Most importantly, helping others brings genuine satisfaction when we realize we are the reason someone feels supported or more confident. The profound joy of driving meaningful changes through minor actions underscores the true value of servant leadership. Ultimately, you’ll understand the deeper meaning behind every small action: it’s a way to make our world a better place, rather than a burden.

We are blessed to be servant leaders, as this position gives us the opportunity to lend a helping hand to those in need. Small actions may seem insignificant at first, but as we continue to serve proactively, we notice the blessings and grace around us, which deeply motivate us to push beyond our limits. Even though there might be challenges lying ahead, we will count our blessings and let them be a constant reminder to serve willingly.
