In the Kitchen with Le Cordon Bleu Pastry Course Have you ever heard of Le Cordon Bleu? Well, read on to learn more. Le Cordon Bleu is a world-renowned culinary school from which many famous chefs graduate. During the Lunar New Year holidays, we had the opportunity to meet a chef who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu and is now working in a Michelin two-star restaurant. The creation was cupcakes in the Chinese and Western styles. But we also had the chance to learn from the chef’s learning experience at Le Cordon Bleu. Students were able to see that the journey to become a professional chef required a lot of time and work. When we, Shungtakians, started to make the cupcakes, the chef taught us exactly how to measure the ingredients and how to use the kitchen tools. The chef also taught us how to frost cakes using many different patterns. It was certainly a time for us to show our creativity as we explored with our own patterns. The Lunar holidays were made greater with this experience where we were able to acquire some new skills, and make something delicious to eat.
