The Christmas Prayer Service was held on 20th December with our School Supervisor, Rev. Father Simon Li, as the celebrant.
The Service was a time for Shungtakians to gather and celebrate the birth of Jesus. In the homily, Father Li reminded us that that Christmas is not about the gifts we receive, but rather it is a time reminding us of the importance of hope, love and kindness. This is time we also received the greatest gift from God —— Jesus Christ.
A highlight of the Service was the movie produced by the teachers and students on how we can find Jesus. It is about the true joy we can have when we look at things from different perspectives.
The video of the performance can also be found on the Catholic Society’s Instagram page @catso_stc Let us always remember “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life” (John 3:16). Happy Christmas everyone and always remember the ‘Christ’ in Christmas for without Him, there would be no Christmas.
