Visit from Beijing National Day School-JinYuan

New Beginnings with Visit from Beijing National Day School-JinYuan

On October 2nd and 3rd, our school, Shung Tak, had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of four teaching staff from our sister school, Beijing National Day School-JinYuan. This visit marked a significant step in strengthening the collaborative ties between our institutions. The visit began with our visiting educators touring our campus. This provided them with the opportunity to explore our facilities and learn more about our educational programme.

The tour was followed by presentations from our Principal and some members of our senior management team. These presentations focussed on our school’s history, the Hong Kong curriculum and how our school implements this curriculum to meet the needs of our students. Lesson observations were also part of the programme which allowed our guests to witness firsthand the dynamic teaching and learning experiences that occur in our classrooms.

They also had the unique opportunity to meet and shadow four of our students from S1 and S4, gaining valuable insights into their academic journeys and daily school life. The visit concluded with a productive meeting between the Beijing National Day School-JinYuan staff and all members of our senior management team. This discussion focussed on exploring further collaboration opportunities between our schools, with the aim of enhancing our educational offerings and cultural exchange initiatives. A suggestion of a month-long teacher exchange was even initiated! Overall, the two-day visit was marked by fruitful discussions and shared insights. We were honored to be able to share our school and are thrilled that our visitors were able to become fully immersed in the vibrant community of STC.

We shall continue reinforcing the strong partnership between our school, Shung Tak Catholic English College, with Beijing National Day School-JinYuan. We eagerly look forward to future collaborations, one coming soon (stay tuned), and exchange initiatives that will benefit both our students and staff.
