Mon May 20, 2024The covered playground was filled with delightful aromas and mouth-watering snacks, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere during the annual whole-school Chinese Food Cuisine Awareness Day, organized by the English Society.
This year’s theme was “Tang Yuan Together”, featuring three variations of Tang Yuan, a traditional Chinese cuisine enjoyed during the Lantern Festival. The PTA prepared Hakka Savoury Tang Yuan, Sesame Balls, and Puff Pastry Tang Yuan, allowing students to celebrate the Lantern Festival while indulging in warm and hearty treats. The Lantern Festival symbolizes reunion and togetherness, and students had the opportunity to experience this spirit firsthand as they enjoyed these delectable snacks. The event was a great success, generating a profit of $2722.3, which will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
