On the 18th of October 2024, when I first stepped into Ss Peter and Paul Church, I was fascinated and wowed by the interior designs of the church. I also felt a sense of peace. On that day, I learnt many facts about the history of the church of Ss Peter and Paul and also the history of our school, Shung Tak. In fact, the place where the church stands was actually the home of Shung Tak when she was founded in 1958! The bottom floors of the church is where the classrooms were. Learning all this new information as a new Shungtakian really made me feel and understand Shung Tak more. Our school is a school with such a long history and a strong religious belief. I also learnt many other things that day. I learnt about the burial cloth, the Shroud, which is kind of like a look back into the past. The staff member showed us this burial cloth used when Jesus was buried. On the cloth, we can see the image of Jesus on it. I found it very interesting as I have never seen anything like this before! We also had a chance to learn more about the Arma Christi or the weapons of Christ. One of the weapons was a cross, the one similar to what he carried and we were asked to try to lift it. It was about 30-40 kg. It was so heavy! From the experience, I could tell how much Jesus loved us that He would carry that heavy cross and go through so much pain just to protect us from evil. This is why all the things found here are called weapons of Christ, the weapons to kill sin.
