Mock Trial friendly match

Learning Beyond the Classroom

3J Milly

The Mock Trial Team is always on the lookout for new ways to learn and a friendly match with Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School on February 29 was just what offered that opportunity. The match not only left a strong impression but also provided an excellent learning opportunity for both schools to seek improvement.

Although we were well-prepared, our team encountered several obstacles and challenges during the match which we reflected on and benefited from when we actually went in for the competition. With the practice, the challenges of submitting evidence and dealing with leading questions were certainly not that daunting.

Heartfelt thanks must be given to the coaches, barristers, judges, and teachers who participated in the friendly match. Special thanks also go to our coach, alumnus Gordon, who dedicated a significant amount of time to prepare us for various mock trial competitions. The valuable and clear feedback greatly benefited and inspired us.

This experience has been valuable for all Mock Trial members, and we hope to maintain the bond between our schools so we can work together to excel in future Mock Trial competitions.
