I recently attended the annual Caritas Charity Bazaar on 3rd November, Sunday, an event organized by Hong Kong Caritas to raise funds for their charity work. This was my second time volunteering at this event, and I was even more excited than the previous year. With the experience I gained last year, I felt more confident communicating with the neighbors. It was also wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new volunteers. We worked as a team to ensure our duties included setting up stalls, selling products, and sorting materials went smoothly. This experience taught me that even small contributions through events like this allow charities to continue their invaluable work and help the vulnerable. Most importantly, I learned that giving back to the community in any way I can is extremely meaningful and can make a difference for those in need. I enjoyed interacting with the bazaar visitors even more this time. While the long hours on my feet did tire me, seeing the joyous atmosphere energized me and gave me a great sense of achievement. I’m thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this cause. Volunteering here consistently reminds me of my responsibility to help the less fortunate in society. I’m grateful to be a part of this meaningful event.
