To celebrate the conclusion of paper checking and offer students a well-deserved breather, the school’s Guidance Team hosted the highly anticipated STC Carnival on 26 June 2026. Designed to help everyone shake off exam stress, the campus was transformed into a lively hub of joy, laughter, and mutual support.
Sweet Treats and Creative Spaces
The carnival featured an exciting line-up of activities that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Students lined up eagerly at the food stalls to indulge in nostalgic treats, savouring the traditional, delicate flavours of dragon beard candy, the fluffy sweetness of colourful cotton candy, and refreshing cups of bubble milk tea. Beyond the snacks, creativity was on full display at the DIY booths, where students crafted personalised bookmarks and custom mirrors to take home as keepsakes. Meanwhile, the Polaroid photo booth was a massive hit, capturing instant, candid memories of friends laughing and posing together after weeks of hard study.
Celebrating Inclusion and Unity
A major highlight of the carnival was its incredibly inclusive atmosphere. The event brought together students from all forms, backgrounds, and walks of life, creating a beautiful space where everyone felt welcomed and valued. Whether sharing a sweet treat or helping each other with a DIY craft, the carnival reminded the entire Shung Tak family that we are at our best when we stand together.
Spreading Joy with ‘Peer Encouragement Scratch Cards’
This year, students also took part in a meaningful activity using ‘Peer Encouragement Scratch Cards’. It was heartwarming to watch classmates exchange these cards, scratching off the surfaces to reveal hidden words of affirmation and cheer. It served as a powerful reminder that no one walks their academic journey alone.
While the carnival was an opportunity to let loose, its core mission ran deeper. The Guidance Team organised this event to encourage students to stay resilient and maintain a positive mindset, regardless of the academic or personal challenges that may lie ahead.
