Wednesday, 29 April 2026Recently, our team, Polaris, successfully facilitated a comprehensive leadership workshop for the prefects at Tin Shui Wai Catholic Primary School, proving that service learning is a powerful catalyst for personal growth.
The preparation was much harder than we expected. As new student leaders, we had to handle everything from writing the initial plans to making the props for our games. Luckily, this journey was supported by the invaluable mentorship of our tutors and senior leaders, whose guidance helped us refine our vision into a functional reality.
Running the actual event was another big step for us. Since it was our first time hosting such a large group, we had to learn how to speak clearly and fix problems on the spot. These two days really boosted our confidence and showed us the importance of staying calm under pressure.
The best part was definitely the friendship we built with the younger students. This experience has prepared us well for our future roles, and I look forward to working with my teammates on more school projects soon.
