Choices in our lives can gently tilt us toward success or failure, which is why people value them so highly. As S3 students step into the important chapter of their secondary school journey, they have finally reached the stage of elective selection—an important decision that will shape their studies for the rest of their time at STC.
To help students make the best choice, our Students’ Union Cacilhas organised the S3 Elective Sharing Session. This session gives S3 students the opportunity to chat with senior students about different elective subjects. They can look through the notes and textbooks prepared, listen to seniors’ experiences, and ask for advice.
Although the session is targeted at S3 students only, its impact goes far beyond simply introducing subjects. While junior students begin to discover their interests, it also offers our S5 students a chance to reflect on themselves two years ago—when they faced the same situation.
We wish all our S3 students the best of luck. We look forward to seeing them switch roles two years from now, inspiring students who feel frustrated and helping them overcome this stage, just as their senior forms supported them today.
