Rite of acceptance

By 4M Annie Liu

Over the past few months in catechism class, I have gone from questioning the Bible to exploring the deeper truths of the world. We step out of our own subjective perspectives and strive to understand the guidance from the Bible through open exchange of ideas. On 21 May, a beautiful sign of love and care was shared with each of us during the rite of acceptance. It symbolises our commitment to gaining more knowledge and living out Jesus’s words through our actions.

Honestly, I used to be an atheist because I only believed what I saw. However, after I started attending catechism classes after school, all my stress and anxiety have gradually faded away, leaving me with a sense of calm. It might sound unbelievable, but each time I attend, I find myself able to move past negative feelings and see life from different angles. Now, I feel ready to embark on this spiritual journey, guided by my faith.

Are you doubting yourself or feeling drained from chasing your goals? Maybe it is time to look upward and see the bigger picture. You might just discover something fascinating, as I did!
