Opening Prayer Service

On September 1st, we gathered for our Opening Prayer Service to mark the first day of the new school year. We were honored to have Deacon Mok from Ss. Peter and Paul Church as our celebrant.

During the service, the congregation listened attentively and kept a respectful silence. Deacon Mok read the Parable of Salt and Light from the Gospel of Matthew. In his homily, he encouraged us to shine before others through our good deeds and to make good use of the gifts God has planted within us. He also reminded us that, as members of this school family, each of us has a responsibility to play our part well — not only by working hard in our studies, but also by helping those around us and appreciating the small blessings we often take for granted. One of the most inspiring parts of his sharing was his reminder that even the smallest act of kindness matters, and that every good deed, no matter how simple, can make a meaningful difference.

The prayer service provided an inspiring start to the academic year. May we all strive to be salt and light on our school campus, growing in both study and prayer to live out our faith dynamically throughout the year ahead.
