Lenten Prayer Service 2025

By Ceci Wong

The heartfelt sharing of Father Cheung at our Easter Prayer Service 2025 highlighted the true spirit of Easter—bringing hope to the world.

He shared about spreading love to lepers and those who are in need. This taught us about the joy that comes from helping our neighbors through God’s love.

The Service was also an opportunity for the schoolmates who had volunteered to go on the volunteer trip to Jiangmen to share their experience with recovered lepers. Their sharing of walking in the shoes in the lepers by their meeting with them reminds us of the importance of empathy and patience.

Actually, being there, seeing, and experiencing really brought things to life. “Love is patient, love is kind.”

The sharing of Father Cheung and our schoolmates was truly inspirational. Let us all be encouraged to generously sacrifice our time and efforts, just as Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for our sins, to help those less fortunate than us.
