From Hurdles to Stepping Stones: Learning from Failure

As part of the ‘Youth Life Matters’ programme, the Guidance Team recently hosted the ‘Dash of Failure’ Exhibition on 2 and 3 June. Centred on the theme ‘Learning from Failure’, the exhibition encouraged students to reassess the role of obstacles in both their academic and personal journeys.

Named after the punctuation mark used to create a meaningful pause or shift direction, the exhibition reframes setbacks not as final periods, but as vital opportunities to pivot. The initiative aimed to equip students with practical skills to objectively analyse errors, adapt their learning strategies, and build mental fortitude under pressure. By highlighting how everyday challenges serve as catalysts for growth, the event helped students move past the frustration of mistakes to cultivate deep resilience and self-worth.

All students, faculty, and parents are warmly invited to visit the exhibition space, reflect on their own experiences, and learn to turn hurdles into stepping stones for long-term success.
