Catso Rosary Making Workshop and Gathering

By 1M Michelle Chan

The Rosary Gathering in October was the second activity I joined at Shung Tak, and it was my first experience praying the Rosary with others. Saying the Rosary is saying a prayer to God trough the intersession of our Blessed Mother, Mary. This gathering was meaningful to me and remains a cherished memory. The gathering consisted of two parts. On the first day, we made our own rosary beads. I found this activity particularly interesting because I had never considered making one by myself before. As I crafted the rosary stringing the beads together, I experienced a profound sense of peace. This process also encouraged me to be both careful and attentive, allowing me to connect more deeply with the significance of the Rosary. It was a memorable experience. On the second day, we prayed the Rosary. During this gathering, I was not distracted. I focused solely on the prayer. There were more than 20 people participating in this activity. As we prayed together, I felt that God was with us, which made me feel stronger. The Rosary is said to transform hearts and change life and I surely felt this. The next time, I hope you can also join with us.
