On 2 October 2026, Guide Light organised a welcoming S1 Adjustment Programme to help new Shungtakians settle into secondary school life.
Seven enthusiastic Guide Light members, accompanied by our social worker, visited each S1 class to lead activities supporting students through this important transition. The programme featured a series of interactive games designed to familiarise students with their new school and strengthen connections with classmates and senior peers.
Through lively ice-breaking and relationship-building activities, students were encouraged to communicate openly, work together, and develop meaningful friendships. These shared experiences helped students feel more at ease while fostering a sense of belonging at school. The programme created a warm and supportive environment where S1 students could build confidence and connect with others. Many expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to interact with senior students and discover more about their new school in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
Guide Light hopes that the friendships and connections formed during the programme will continue to grow, nurturing positive relationships and a strong sense of well-being throughout the school year. With this encouraging start, our new Shungtakians are ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.
