A Heart-warming Journey of Art and Heritage
As students from classes 1M and 1P, we participated in the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s “How Memory Sticks 2.0” Arts Tech and Cultural Education Programme as part of our Visual Arts learning. Through the “Monthly Festivals” and “3D Printing Lessons” modules, we gained new skills and creativity. To deepen our understanding, we joined joyful guided visits to Kam Tin in Yuen Long and The Chinese University of Hong Kong on 3 July.
In Kam Tin, we explored the historic Chou Wong Yi Kung Study Hall and the ancient Bin Mo Bridge, which has quietly witnessed over 300 years of local stories. We also visited the Yi Tai Study Hall with its peaceful Temple of Confucius, where residents still pray for good fortune, and admired the traditional artefacts at Cheung Chun Yuen. These places warmly welcomed us into the rich heritage of our community.
At CUHK, we were touched by the university’s beautiful architecture and impressive history. The exquisite Chinese artworks from different dynasties filled our hearts with admiration for the incredible craftsmanship and artistic spirit.
This special outing brought us much more than knowledge. We grew closer as a class through laughter, mutual support, and shared discoveries. We are truly grateful to our kind class teachers for accompanying us, the patient tour guides, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club for giving us such a meaningful experience.
The warm memories we created together will continue to inspire our learning and artistic journey ahead.
