On 8 July, our school invited a professional acapella team named “Focus” to hold an acapella workshop for S1 to S5, aimed at helping students acquire a better understanding of acapella. The workshop can be divided into three major parts: performing, sharing, and interacting.
Firstly, Focus performed two songs. Then, they started separating different parts of the song to let us know how acapella actually works by combining five different rhythms. We were all amazed by the beautiful music, particularly the extremely skilful beatbox part. They also shared a lot of basic acapella knowledge. Finally, some students were invited to go on stage and sing along with Focus. Shungtakians are truly talented, they sang very well! All of the activities in the workshop were full of fun and laughter.
We are grateful to have this professional acapella team educate our students with such dedication. Overall, this experience was immersive, engaging, and informative. Thank you, Focus!
