Target Participants

Primary 5 to 6 students
(Each school can send a maximum number of 10 entries)

Entry Choices

Participants can choose to write on ONE of the following topics:

  • 1. Creative Story
    (300 to 600 words):

    'A week without my smartphone'

  • 2. Argumentative Essay
    (200 to 400 words):

    'Will remote learning replace classroom learning in the future?'

Judging Criteria

All entries, regardless of topic choice, will be judged according to:

  • 40 marks1. Content
  • 30 marks2. Language
  • 30 marks3. Organization

Panel of Judges: Experienced English teachers at STC, led by Mr. John Guest, former assistant lecturer at The University of Hong Kong.
