Shung Tak Catholic English College will celebrate its 60th Anniversary (1958-2018) and the English Department of STC is holding a slogan competition to create a memorable motto of this important milestone. The winning slogan will be used throughout the anniversary year.

Slogan features

Participants are encouraged to create a slogan that embodies the values and spirit of Shung Tak. The slogan should be fully in English, provide easy recognition and association with the 60th anniversary occasion, and be attractive, recognizable, unique and memorable for various audiences.


The slogan competition is divided into 2 sections. One is for all STC students (junior forms and senior forms); and the other is the OPEN category which is open to alumni, parent(s) of a present student of STC, and staff (past and present). Each participant may only submit one slogan design.

Entries and deadlines

The competition will be open from Monday 8th May 2017 to Thursday 30th June 2017. Participants must use the attached form to submit their slogan. Please note that entries must reach the College by Friday 30th June 2017, 5:00 p.m. (Hong Kong Time). No entries will be accepted after the closing date. The organizers will not be responsible for any loss during the transmission via e-mail or internet.

Judging criteria

The entries will be assessed using the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the theme
  • Originality
  • Creativity
  • Impact and presentation

The judges’ decision will be final.

  • Please note that upon submitting your slogan to this competition, you hereby agree that all rights, title and interest in the slogan will belong to Shung Tak Catholic English College, the Organizer of this competition. The usage of the slogan will be entirely at the discretion of the said Organizer.
  • Entries should not violate any intellectual property, including, but not limited to patents, trademarks and copyrights.
