First Class Readers Project
Since last year (2004), 15 S.2 students nominated for their ability
in English and creativity were given the chance to attend an enhancement course
to further enhance their skills in the English language, creativity and critical thinking.
At the end of the course, several of them performed for other schools participating
in this programme co-run by the Gifted Section of the EMB.They recited their
original poems, gave a story-telling performance and displayed their work. We hope this year
that more students will be given further opportunities to expand their existing abilities.
The Gifted Programme 2005-2006 will begin in October 2005. Students will be
selected by taking a test and may attend an interview. Successful students
will attend a lesson every other Sat in the afternoon. Students in the programme
are obliged to attend all lessons and do their coursework with serious effort.
