Centralized Morning Prayer

The School began centralizing the morning prayers on Tuesdays and Fridays in 2008 through the PA system. This is further promoted to having centralized prayers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Not only will non-class teachers, but also double class teachers will take turn to share some thoughts and lead the prayers.
The followings are some of the sharings which we wish you will enjoy.

RENDER TO GOD THINGS THAT ARE GOD'S

Last Friday was June 4th, what did you do that evening? Did you participate in the June Fourth candlelight vigil in Victoria Park?

As Catholics, we try to follow the teaching of Jesus taught in the Gospel. Once he said, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's." (Matthew 22:21, NKJV) It is a response we always refer to when discussing the way we participate in any political issue. What Jesus was saying is that everything comes from God. So we do not politicize our faith, but add the element of faith to our politics.

We look into whether such basic rights and gifts given by God as freedom, dignity and moral values are safeguarded and respected. We should also look into whether the Government cares for the people in the promotion of unity and mutual love.

For this, today we pray for those who are suffering under the rule of an undemocratic government and we also pray for those who are in power. We believe that only the Lord can change man's hearts and we can all unite to work for a better tomorrow.

Let's turn to page 27, Prayer#47 in Hosanna, "Prayer For Justice in the World". Let's pray.
